Faster Reset

Open two stickrpg2 windows at once. Do a run on one window. If the run on one window dies, you can start a run on the second window immediately without waiting for the stickrpg2 intro.

You can chain this together by making it so that every time a run dies you open another stickrpg2 window, so that you always have a window ready to start a new run.

srpg2 any% guide 2024

This guide will show 4 different routs for goals ranging from getting a run on the board to beating the world record.

if you are serious about speedruning srpg2 read "tricks in srpg2 speedruns" as well.

but all you need here is simple multi instancing.

To do that just open a new instance of the game when ever you see the initial loading screen.

The part in brackets after a step explains what to do if you don't get the luck needed.

### Flamethrower rout:

A really nice and consistent rout for feeling out srpg2 speedruning.

- start with 25 Charm, no ability needed.
- work in joe's pizza 4 times, buy 3 chicken wings, work once more. (Reset if you don't have at least 190$ after the last job)
- buy ID in police station
- give the wings to king of wing's in Skye's bar.
- save, close your game then load the save
- sleep in your house
- buy xxx dvd and talk to the escapee siting on a wall.
- give the dvd to the skater kid in area3.
- buy 40 oz in 11seven
- work 2 times at mcstick's 
- buy a lighter in steel hawk
- Save, bet 430 on red place. Save again, bet 1405 on red place. Save, bet 4505 on red place (if at any point you lose load the save you made and try again)
- buy a leaf blower in hardware store.
- talk to pyro Perry 3 times to get the flamethrower.
- buy pain killers from wally mart
- buy burger then work 3 times in mcstick's.
- Save and load then give pain killers to the suicidal dude.
- buy 3 coca from the contraband seller and talk to the kid behind 11seven. 
- (if one them is missing save and load previous save. repeat until you have done both actions)
- get drunk at vinney's bar.
- bail the convict and give coca to the cop in the police station.
- talk to Ansel in U of S for the lab key then save and load
- eat the burger and run though the lab.

Expected times: mid 5min to mid 7min

### Glock rout:

Modified version of the old wr rout to make it more consistent.

Use this if you want to keep improving your times.

Also gives you a good taste of srpg2 rng.

- no starting requirements
- sleep in your house
- work 7 times at stickbucks (reset if you don't get the rare gold event)
- buy skate board in the skate shop.
- buy fake ID and pain killers in area3.
- bet on blue win[1255], red place[3005], red place[5000] (reset if you don't win all three)
- S/L then give the painkillers to the suicidal dude.
- buy 3 coca and talk to the kid behind seven11. (if the kid is missing S/L and check again)
- buy burger then work once in mcstick's
- (if you couldn't previously buy coca) (if the contraband seller still isn't there S/L and check again until he is)
- give coca to "coca cowboy" near U of S
- buy a glock from Larry at the start of area2 (if he isn't there S/L and check again)
- get drunk at Skye's bar.
- bail the convict in the police station.
- talk to Ansel in U of S for the lab key then S/L.
- eat the burger and run though the lab.

Expected times: high 3 to mid 5

### Minigun rout:

This is the current world record rout so if you plan using this please read "tricks in srpg2 speedruns" to learn triple instancing and other optimisations.

- no starting requirements
- work at stickbucks 4 times (reset if you don't get the rare gold event)
- buy skate board and a fake ID
- bet yellow place[1330] (reset if you don't win)
- buy pain killers, S/L
- give the painkillers to the suicidal dude.
- buy coca then talk to squeegee kid (reset if either of them are missing)
- buy a minigun and get drunk in dangiling pianist.
- bail the convict and give coca to the cop in the police station.
- talk to Ansel in U of S for the lab key then S/L.
- run though the lab.

Expected times: low 3 to high 3

## Interdimensional drifter rout:

this rout is only for the true maniacs you don't just want to beat the wr you want to crush it.

- no starting requirements
- work at stickbucks 2-4 times (reset if you don't get the rare gold event)
- buy skate board and a fake ID
- bets: blue win[1305], yellow win[3205] (reset if you don't win both)
- buy a minigun and get drunk in dangling pianist.
- buy all the 4d items from the Interdimensional drifter near your house (go back to your house then check again)
- talk to Ansel in U of S for the lab key then S/L.
- run though the lab.

Expected times: mid 2 to low 3

max your stats at the pecan pie store (on the fourth island) by purchasing 67 pecan pies and eating them 
Go to the hardware store and buy everything
Buy everything from steel and hawk
Study with the tutor in u of s and then talk to the guy playing chess
Get the gangster key by defeating the gangster leader on the first island
Work until the evening at stickbucks
Go into the skye bar toilets and give the orange guy toilet paper on exchange for a sledgehammer
Go to the club and go into the toilets before answering einsteins twins' riddle
If the contraband salesman is there buy unobtanium 
Get the most upgraded
sledge hammer by repeatedly talking to the guy in the 24/7 laundrette.
Work till night at stickbucks

get the mobster key by defeating the mobster leaders near vinnies bar
get the slime key by defeating the slime king near the pecan pie store
Also defeat the sewer people on the stairs of the town hall
Go the benjamins club and buy everything from the salesman in there

defeat all the warehouses (memorize the locations before hand and use the blast cannon)
Note which day you do this on, and reattempt seven days later, keep doing this throughout the run until you have defeated all of them 5 times
after you first defeat the new ware house  complete the alien quest by talking to the alien near the castle
After defeating all the warehouses for the first time Talk to flamethrower perry until you get the nova flamethrower
get drunk
Do 5 boxing matches at the easy gym(nce you have defeated all the boxers who appear in the morning work until the afternoon and defeat the remaining boxers)
All jobs require you to work 3 times in between promotions apart from stickbucks and mcsticks which require you to work 5 times.If you have to get drunk at night to max out a job, get into a fight before first doing the job so that you go straight to the clinic after getting drunk and not your house
max out the skate or cry job(do the graffiti artist job at night)
max out the graffiti artist(sleep after you cant work anymore), if you max out skate or cry first, just work at skate or cry until night as usual.

Tricks in srpg2 speedruns

here are a bunch of optimisations to know/do when speedruning stick rpg2.



### Practice:

Having a save with 1mil at the start of the game makes it possible to practice runs while avoiding most rng.

Easiest way to get such a save is to use cheat engine.

Alternatively you can work in joe's pizza, buy an ID, gamble till you have 1mil, sleep then workout till 12am.

Another useful thing save file with 4 saves at different points across a run so you can practise any part easily.

Example. In any% having save at the start of the game, another after the first S/L, third after getting drunk and last right before lab

Make all the practise saves then search for srpg2Save.sol copy that file some where else and move it back when you want to practice.



### Reset speed:

The main way to increase reset speed is to already have a another game open so you don't need to watch the game load when you close the current attempt.

The easy way to do this is to just shift+click the game on your taskbar whenever you see the initial loading screen.

where is a more complex form of this that uses three instances and only works if there aren't any character creation requirements.

To use that. Open two instances of the game then start a new game on one of them after pressing skip story open a new instance then switch to the one on the main menu rush through character creation and switch back to the one loading.

when you close the instance you are playing the next one will already be on the skip story screen.



### In run optimisations:

you can also use multiple instances to speed up the time it takes to run back to the casino.

I do it by starting a race then opening a new instance alt+tabing to the main menu instance and loading a previous save then alt+tabing back to the original instance.

If I won the process starts again except I have to close the extra instance.

If I lost I either close the game or start another race depending on what point on the run it happens at.

So if I started a second race I will alt+tab to the instance that just loaded in to the game and start running to the casino when reaching the road I'll alt+tab back.



### Quick miscellaneous tips:

Move your cursor where you need to use it preventively.

deleting your save file before running makes saving mid run faster as you don't get the confirmation prompt.

Lowering your monitor resolution makes the game window bigger.

Vendors in stores take a bit to load in so don't click them immediately.

Clicks only register if it gets pressed and released in the objects hitbox.

Knowing the horse race probabilities is important when routing.

Here's roughly what they are.
