I can only answer the top question I'm afraid. PSTV is a standalone console, unlike the vita it is not handheld.

1. yes and no. the pstv is essentially a non-handheld version of the vita, for your tv (hence the name)

2. you should be able to look up youtube tutorials, because i know it's possible but idk how (i don't have a vita but i am looking into getting one)
