Earth Level Tree Skip (or how to get a 12s Earth)

Tree Skip on Earth Level
Works for IL and Any% runs
Saves about three seconds
Lets you complete Earth IL in 12s

Setup:
Start Earth Level (IL or Full Game)
Proceed to where you should place the ladder
Jump over the top of the hill and press Action a few times
If the ladder did *not* appear, you did everything right (if you *did*  place the ladder, reset)
Restart the game and Earth Level (or Full Game)
If you did everything right, the glitch ladder should be at the top of the mountain. Even though it looks a bit weird, you can still climb it.
While going up the ladder, you can additionally *press right to move left* since you're technically inside a block

how to do the blockclip glitch in mcp3

in this guide, i will be showing you how to perform what i call the blockclip glitch, which is used in any of the sub 50 runs that you'll see on the leaderboards.
this can theoretically be used anywhere, but it saves time on the ice and fire levels. i recommend that you watch my record or the wr to see the strategies used.

blockclip:
1) stand right next to a block, at the point where you cant walk farther into it.
2) jump, and with the right timing, tap left/right depending on your position. this will allow you to get stuck on the side of the block. if you do it too early, you'll go on top of the block, if you do it too late, you'll just brush yourself against the block. also, make sure you don't hold left after you get stuck in the block, or else you'll get unstuck.
3) due to the game mechanics, once you are stuck, hold left to go right, and hold right to go left. you'll appear to be walking left/right, but you'll actually be moving right/left.

ice (basic):
go to the step before the ice wall blocking the portal, and do the blockclip as normal. this will allow you to skip through the ice wall rather than getting the pickaxe and making the tnt.
this strategy saves around 8 seconds.

ice (advanced):
this was found by Saturnb, and although it looks hard, its pretty simple once you have the inputs down.
first, hold d/right-arrow and topright-touchpad, then after the first jump over the spikes, start holding a in addition to the other inputs. with this positioning, this will clip you in from below, and then hold those inputs until your head reaches the top of the lower block. let go of a, and once the top of your head is about aligned with the top block layer, stop holding the touchpad. this is a bit faster than the other strategy.
in comparison to the basic method, this saves around 3 more seconds.

fire:
go to the third step on the ending staircase, and do the blockclip there to go directly to the portal, rather than going around the other steps.
this strategy saves around 1 second.

Tips and Tricks to speedrunning Minecraft Platformer 3 (no glitches)

Since I have the record for speedrunnuing this game, I thought that I'd like to share a few tips on how to speedrun this game here:

Earth:
- Spam jump to head up the first hill to avoid losing time running into walls
- Do not jump onto the zombie. You will die
- When you collect material from the tree, spam action as you get to the top hill to build a ladder, as well as holding up and to the right (it will move you to the left due to the different physics on the ladder).

Ice:
- When spawning from Earth, do not hold right. This will cause the flint to despawn, soft-locking you (unless you are doing a glitch run).
- Jumping onto the first set of stairs at the fastest possible time requires hard timing. Even my (glitchless) WR run messed it up. The time that you must jump should be a bit after collecting the flint.
- The TNT does not actually hurt you, so don't be afraid to stand near it after spawning it. You can spawn the TNT from very far, so spam action once you have the materials for the TNT until it spawns.

Lava:
- When spawning in from Ice, try not to hold left, as you will fall into the lava no matter how long you are holding.
- (This is actually only available in lava training mode if you wait for a bit after starting, my mistake) The first blaze has a chance to spawn behind the bottle, giving the fastest possible time. My WR run did not achieve this luck level.
- To jump over the lava in the fastest possible time, jump when you've reached the 2nd closest block from the lava pool.

Air:
- Just hold right. There is no faster possible run than holding right on this level.
- The first inputs to do at the start should be hold right, and immediately jump when spawning.
- Your bow does not run out of arrows. So spam arrows until both phantoms get hit.

Those were some important tips that I thought I'd share! I made this so that there could be some competition for spots on the leaderboard. Hope you found this useful!
