I don't think I've seen anyone do this, but you can grab the checker from the back of the staircase instead of going up it. You do have to run by the base of the stairs to get the ball to fall. Saves maybe 4 seconds? Hopefully that helps someone!

hmm. something so simple that im not even sure if i ever tried it before. this is why new runners are great for the game. fresh minds that think outside the box.

so i messed around with it. i didnt time it or anything but indeed it seems faster at least because as you said, you skip going up and down the steps. triggering the ball to roll down seems trivial as all you need to do is adjust your position to be at the base of the stairs when the wall disappears.

That's a yes for me! I just walk around the staircase and grab the piece on the table, then I turn around and grab the one at the top. I really don't know what it's worth though, maybe there's a way I don't have to go around the stairs, but I can't figure it out yet
