Act 1 - Getting a specific totem-sigil

After dying twice in Act 1, you'll immediately be offered a totem. The sigil offered only picks from sigils that have either been explained by Leshy (ex: the Wolf Cub's 1-turn buff sigil, and the Flying sigil), or that have been played/activated by you. (Ex: killing a Cockroach, sacrificing the Blood Goat, playing the Ant Queen, playing Stink Bug, etc.) With this in mind, it's possible to guarantee what totem you get for your run.

Note to get the best chance of the totem you want, you should avoid playing any cards that have other sigils you don't want (ex. Stinkbug, the Frog, etc.)

1. Blood Goat sigil (when you sacrifice a card with this sigil, it counts for 3 blood instead of 1): Definitely the best sigil for speedruns due to being able to easily OTK with high-blood cards, but also somewhat risky if you don't get good card choices. 

On your 2nd life, before losing the first battle, use the Squirrel-in-a-bottle and pliers to free up your item slots. Then at the backpack event, pick a Blood Goat if you're offered it. Then in the next battle, play the Blood Goat and sacrifice it before losing.

2. Unkillable (when this card dies, it returns to your hand). Good value, but usually not able to OTK reliably. You'll need at least one or two extra turns to get an extra squirrel to crank out 2-3 blood cost cards. Can also use Squirrels to block damage for free.

On your 2nd life, before losing the first battle, use the Squirrel-in-a-bottle and pliers to free up your item slots. The first card offering will always offer a Cockroach on the rightmost card. Then take the 4-bone piggy bank if you're offered it at the backpack event, otherwise take squirrels. Then play the Cockroach in the next battle before losing, and be sure to kill it (either sacrifice it or let an enemy kill it).

3. Ant Spawner (when you play this card, an Ant Worker is added to your hand). The least RNG option, makes it possible to win just by drawing squirrels.

On your 2nd life, take the Ant cards from the top-right cabinet panel puzzle before the 2nd battle. Then play the Ant Queen during the battle.

4. Unlimited Sacrifice (when you sacrifice this card, it doesn't perish). Usually just a more awkward and less flexible Unkillable. Pick the cat at your first card option, play it in the next battle and try to sacrifice it at least once.

You can ring the bell with space key. So very important because you can use space key in all scenes of Inscryption.

Do **NOT** use ver1.0, River Otter could be on the field. This mean Waterborne totem appears instead of your Unkillable/Worthy Sacrifice.

Act 3 - Bifurcated Strike RNG explained

In Act 3, the main speedrun strat used is to buff Wizbot with Bifurcated strike, then thin the deck and buff Wizbot to a 3/1 in order to OTK on the rest of the fights. Rolling for Bifurcated strike is *almost* completely RNG, but there is some steps we can take to reroll as many times as we want, as well as ways to give us slightly better odds. (Note that this is all based on our current understanding of the RNG).

The buffs offered are predetermined by the seed. The seed advances based on what map tiles you walk to in the Robot world. If you aren't offered Bifurcated, you can quit to Main Menu (to reload to before you clicked the buff button), walk to a neighboring map tile, walk back, then stand up and sit down at the table to save the game. Then check the buff again to see if you got it.

The three buffs you are offered are dependent on the first card you offer to be buffed; once you pick a card, the three buffs are locked in, and you'll need to quit to Main Menu to reroll. 

It's also dependent on how many sigils are already on the card, and what those sigils are. For example, a card with 0 sigils will be offered buffs A, B, and C, then a card with 1 sigil will be offered sigils D, E, and F, then 2 sigils could be offered E, B, and A, and so on. (Note that cards like Wizbot and Ourobot that already have their own unique sigils are treated as 0-sigil cards, until buffed with new sigils.)

If the card already has one of the offered sigils (ex. Mighty Leap), it will instead increment the offered sigil to the next sigil in the list below. So if a card that already has Mighty Leap would have been offered Mighty Leap, it will increment forward one sigil and instead offered Bifurcated.

Ourobot seems to be special in that it cannot naturally be offered certain sigils (unless it increments in to them). If Ouro is offered Unkillable, Sharp Quills, Hefty, Guardian, or Mighty Leap, it will increment one sigil forward, even if the resulting sigils is one of these other "invalid" sigils. For this reason, Ouro has slightly better odds of getting Bifurcated than other cards. We can check for Bifurcated on Ouro, then take Ouro back out and put Wizbot in to get the buff.

Act 3 - Block Golly from connecting to the internet

During the Golly fight, she connects to the internet to give you a card in phase 1, and make you create and send a card in phase 2, resulting in major time loss if it connects to another player. By blocking Inscryption in Windows Defender Firewall, you can skip these parts and guarantee keeping the card you create.

To get to Windows Firewall

1. On your desktop, press the start button in the bottom left, and type in "Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security". (The icon is a brick wall in front of a globe.) Open it.
2. On the left, you should see a few options, including "Inbound Rules" and "Outbound Rules". First, click on Inbound Rules.
3. On the right, click on "New Rule" and a window should appear.
4. For rule type, select "Program". Click next.
5. For Program, select the Browse button, and find your Inscryption install. It's most likely in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Inscryption then select the Inscryption.exe file. Click next.
6. Select "Block the connection." Click next. 
7. Check all three options (Domain, Private, Public). Click next.
8. Name it Inscryption. Click Finish. The rule is now created for Inbound rules.
9. Click on Outbound Rules on the left.
10. Repeat from step 3 for the Outbound Rule.

With both rules now created, the game shouldn't be able to connect to the internet for the Golly fight.
