I Changed the timer start for Animal Crossing: New Horizons speedrun since 2022-02-28
Former timer start Select nintendo account
Current timer start Fade out upon launching the game
Reason Some runners lose the timer because of the "checking if the software can be played..." message.
Also, I retime by -1.5s everyone's personal bests on speedrun.com.

Updated timer stop for First Debt
Previously the rule said: "Timer ends on the regaining control of your character after talking to Tom Nook and paying off your first debt."
This was a little ambiguous, as some runs stopped the timer when the final text box cleared:
