dear moderators, if it's not a secret, why did sunnyagus get banned?

He got banned for transphobia (according to the email he got from speedrun.com). Its a temporary ban though, not a permanent one

can concur with cinder, she and i are both friends with sunny and he's not transphobic. sunny would be hostile to me if he was but he's actually really chill. it's a bit ridiculous to say that posting a rex ore wiki page link (xenon) is transphobic, it's literally a name soundalike joke 😭

there isn't any ill intent or discrimination or bigotry behind that imo

how the hell is his solo shop run allowed? although its an unintentional bug it still counts as a major one as he literally skips a whole 3 minute encounter. this has nothing to do with his transphobia but the run should be nowhere near the leaderboards

i dont think sunny's run should be allowed IF this is a one of a kind bug that only he has gotten, doesnt seem fair in the slightest. the only way i see this run or this 'bug' being allowed is if there is some strategy you have to put in place to not get it somehow, which is unlikely

there's like 3 other people who have also gotten it.

Atm I’m not really sure whether we should keep the run up, the searchlights must have gotten overwritten by something. I’ve seen this bug happen to a few other people, it’s still a major bug however. I’ll talk to the other moderators and see what they think.

Regarding Sunny’s ban, yes I do think it was very unfair, we all agreed that the person who reported him just wanted to get revenge/get back at sunny for something that happened and used the ticket system to their advantage. I know sunny very well and he ain’t a transphobic person. Free my boy

the rules say no major glitches and this guy skipped a grand encounter. just use ur common sense and remove the run this makes it totally unfair for other speedrunners

bogdann i dont think thats a controllable major glitch if it was replicable id be all in favor of having it be removed but like idk man.

Controllable or not it doesnt really matter this basically ruins the whole category from being speedrunned, it skips a section of the game i dont know how it isnt down already

fair, i do suppose having nearly 30 seconds scrapped off of the world record due to some rare probably unreplicatable bug does seem a bit unfair yeah.

its entirely unfair, ik most the mods r friends w the speedrunners but its not js fair to accept a run that shouldnt be allowed
