No. There's not skill in this speedrun, it's either luck or your friends just vote you out quickly.

Practice/free mode is the game mode used for speedrunning, with the exception of co-op. You'll notice this in the rules of the game.

Hi! I was the mod that rejected that run. While what you said above was true, it is specifically stated in the category rules for all tasks that "Full task set up must be shown." Since your video started after the task selection process was complete, that run is invalid and must be rejected. However, you are always free to record a new run and submit it to the leaderboards that corrects this.

We had fixed this in the rules, but 2023.3.28 did bring back the text box.

Short answer: Submit your run with an approximate time. Mods retime every run with a frame counter while verifying the run.

Long answer: If you are submitting a single map run, just put your time as time without loads, and leave the time with loads blank. Time starts when you move and ends when the text box comes up. If you are submitting a multi-map run, it's a little weird. Time with loads is just time from your first movement on the first map to the time the end text box appears on the last map. Time without loads removes the time that you are on the main menu between maps and the load into the new map. Overall, it is nice when runners are at least able to give us pretty precise times. But as long as you get the right category and put down a decent approximation, we'll get you situated.

I do not have an exact answer right now. The moderators need to get together and discuss it and figure out how we would want to add it to the leaderboards if we think it's appropriate.

There is not division of platforms in the coop categories so that anyone can play with anyone no matter what platform you are on. You and your friends can all choose your favorite/fastest.

Being a mod takes more than being a runner. Also, it tends to be rude to ask to be mod. When opportunities open we'll ask people we think will do well or open applications.

I'm not quite sure I understand your question. In general, we do allow people to downgrade to old versions as it's faster in some categories. However, if I didn't answer your question, please let me know what it is you are asking.

Hi buddy! Thanks for your concern. There was actually a major update back last summer that added tasks and change many of the routes for the game. Some changed for the better while others changed for the worse. Because of that, it was decided that players would be allowed to downgrade to older versions if that made the route faster in those categories. Because that ruling was allowed, we did not feel the need to reset the categories and lose some really great runs from before.
