Well I'm okay with a 120 FPS category because you'd assume if they are running that mode everyone is getting a consistent 120 so it's an even playing field. Variable is however not.

I don't think we should have a variable FPS mode. This is coming from a performance snob too with a 144hz monitor. I get anywhere from 100-150 fps in the game depending on the area. Where someone could have a 2080ti and a 9900K so they can stream and not lose performance as well. They would have a significant advantage over everyone else. It would basically just get to the point to where the top runners in that category would be the ones with the best PC and then who ever has the 2nd PC to record or stream the video without losing performance.

@zgl Yeah after kinda sitting and thinking about it. I can see where you guys are coming from cause now that I think about it allowing loads can lead to some very boring runs where people would be constantly save/loading if they made a mistake. I was thinking of more of an ideal thing where it was a safety load but allowing it would open a can of worms.

Also one thing I am actually sort of curious though is hypothetically my game crashes on a standard run and I load from a checkpoint. Gray area topic I know but it'd be nice to know if that would be allowed or not.

Yeah this no saving and loading doesn't really make too sense. The whole get good kid mentality is not welcoming at all to anyone new that would be interested in submitting runs. We may as well be doing RTA. The runs submitted should be done in one sitting but as far as loading saves that were made in the same run then I don't understand a problem. For example, is it an issue if I pause the game go to sleep and come back 8 hours later? I've technically manipulated IGT but never loaded save should we not pause the game?

I dunno man. I think we should see the actual damage values because it's really weird that it's only knife damage?
