STE (Something Truly Evil) serves as a condition in the game when you acquire 4 STE events within one run. When encountering STE, you can either die by reason damage or stamina damage, or defeat them.

I feel the merit of an STE speedrun, specifically defeating STE would have it's own nuance and strategies to be deemed worthy for its own category. I feel the standard rules for this category should be Cultist, any character, all card packs enabled, any timeline is available, any OLD GOD, any background and it does not matter what perks are enabled.

The current system of the speedruns are, for the most part, very well made. My main change I would like to see is not making Quickplay the 'standard' category. I think the Quickplay category does not uphold the integrity of the speedrun potential in World of Horror. Though I do believe that Extracurricular Activity and Spine Chilling Story do constitute themselves as their own categories.

I think we should refine the Custom category and properly define the types of runs within it. I think it would be nice to have in the Custom category 2 main splits, Seed% (once we as a community find a seed that we agree on) and Seedless%. Let's focus on Seedless% for now. In Seedless%, I think it would be in the best interest to have the category be split by difficulty. Sceptic, Initiate, Cultist, True Believer and Harbringer of Doom.

We should allow for ANY character to be used in these runs, ANY old god and ANY background, as well as enabling ALL card packs (A, B and C as of posting) as well as BEING ABLE TO CHOOSE to have all perks on or off, but the content should ALWAYS be set to randomized, as well as the item statistics. Every custom run should also be set on timeline A, because currently as of posting timeline B does not have enough differences to distinct itself for a separate category.
