i know i'm a bit late, but start+sel+a+b resets ARE actually soft resets on the 3DS VC (i tested). however resetting by screen tapping counts as a hard reset.
no, rng differs on 3dsvc, so you need to find another strat / use old dsum strats to get the nido. however, i found a good nido manip on pokemon red 3dsvc, which has max attack and overall good stats but i dont remember exactly the stats. (manip: https://gunnermaniac.com/pokeworld?map=1#69/182/LLLLLLUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLULLUULLDLDLLDDDDDLLLLUUAU) i'm currently searching for mt moon manip but it may take some time.
ok, thanks for the quick answers GarlicBox and Bat, so i need now to purchase another keyboard if i want to do it, right ?
hello, i want to know if this is posssible to AHK (Auto HotKey) the keys to do the jump trick when you press all 4 directions in sans battle. i mean, as i'm on my laptop, the keyboard doesn't count more that 3 presses for the directional buttons, instead of the others keyboards, which you can press the 4. so i made a AHK program that allow to do that, if i press right+down+left it press up for me. if it doesn't allowed, i can do the normal path but it's harder :/ (if you want i can send the program i wrote) and sorry for bad english :^)
Are you using the easy long manip or the 'hard' manip ? Gambatte-speedrun is the best emulator for the manip. Are you doing the reset (on the right tile) with SELECT+UP+B then START then A ? If you miss that, you'll never get your nido. If you have trouble with A presses, keep in mind that the A presses affect one tile on the map, and you need to press A when you 'enter' the tile. Idk how I can explain that better. You also need to don't press any button at the BIOS screen when you reset the game.
If you press the tactil screen and hit 'reset' button, it does an hard reset. I tested RNG manipulation and it works.
