Last resort here, I'm all out of options.

So, for some reason the save file made available here on speedrun just won't work for me. I've followed the instructions packaged with the save file, put the file into the 250900-folder, and the game just refuses to recognize it. I've tried searching high and low, from reddit to Steam forums and nothing has worked for me so far. Any advice?
