Hi guys. This looks like the sort of game I like to run. Stupid question, but how much grinding / training would you say this takes to 'git gud' (for the any% classic w/eleven category)? Not sure how much time I would need to dedicate.

I have not done much testing but I think Italian MIGHT be very slightly faster than English (and faster than the other languages too) but it would only amount to perhaps 3-4 seconds over the whole run at a guess. I tested the level 6 monologue which was 0.8 secs faster in Italian. I don't think I will bother running in Italian unless through more testing it turns out that the difference is more significant.

I have the items I want deposited in my bank (have only so far run on Slot 1). I am going to try a run out soon so will delete my existing save file at Slot 1 and restart a new game on that slot.

That's correct isn't it, deleting the existing save game on that slot will not wipe out the items in the bank? I am just paranoid that I am going to lose my items!

Given how competitive and optimised the top times are, especially in grass dungeon, is it worth making video proof mandatory for top ten times going forward (but not affecting existing runs on the leaderboard)?

@Nodlih I will verify your runs asap, I am not at a computer atm (on phone). Please note we understand the dev is releasing an update this weekend which will change the boss fights and introduce ledge grabbing. Just mentioning it in case you planned to do more runs on the existing version soon. Maybe better to wait until after the update.

I feel like it might be worth a Discord for this game especially as there are updates and additions to it quite regularly, but as there are only 3 of us atm do we think it is worth it?

Thewizard1247 brings up the point that screenshot of best time should not be allowed as proof because some levels are glitchy (e.g. 8 track) and screenshots can be easily bodged.

I originally allowed screenshots in the rules as I know a lot of people do not always record their gameplay and I wanted the lb to be as inclusive as possible, but I did not know about the glitches at that point. I'm happy to put it to the vote. Anyone NOT want video of run to be mandatory?

Looks like a really interesting game to run with some cool tech. I notice the game has IAP - are any IAPs needed / relevant to the run?

Also, I'm a bit confused as the run ends after level 30 but there seems more of the story still to go, and I see there are 40 levels in the game?

The boards include columns for real time as well as in game time but the real time column seems redundant, plus it's misleading as most runs erroneously post real time as equating to in game time. It would be better to simply remove the real time column don't you think?

Also, just a suggestion, but I think it might look tidier if Grass Dungeon, Water Dungeon etc each have one tab, and PC / Mobile be sub-categories within those tabs.

Finally, rather than have Grass Dungeon lvl 1 etc in Miscellaneous, shouldn't those go into a separate IL leaderboard?

Or, if everyone's happy with the way it is, no biggy.

Do we want it a rule that video proof is required? If you (SixRock and EmberDev) are happy to have splits screenshot as sufficient proof then I have no objection to that (as I am nowhere near WR anyway), but either way the rule should be consistent.

I see that you guys initially presumed the finish point was when the screen turns white whereas I had made it the point where the glass fades out.

Seems like the way you initially did it seems more logical as it is easier to pinpoint the exact moment the screen turns white. I am happy to change it, unless you are fine with the way it currently is?

I have created individual level leaderboards as I want to practice individual levels to ultimately improve my full game time Heromaster. If you wanted me to submit your level times from your full game run let me know.

When Cordy 2 gets added, I would appreciate it if you could do the same thing for that game as I will do ILs first as practice for the full game run which I will definitely do at some point.

I just thought I would mention that some runs are it seems influenced by lag.

I noticed that in Masterlol's glitchless level 4, he shoots off the start and is at the first boost about 0.8s ahead of the other runs. He then maxes at 32 whereas the other runs max at about double that. Despite that, his time is almost 1s up. His ghost also beats him but his time shows as an improvement.

I am not for a second suggesting the run is cheated as it is clear from the video that it isn't, and it's great to see you join in Masterlol. I just think that there was a bit of a glitch it seems probably resulting from lag, which we know affects the times, and thought I would flag it up and see whether people think laggy runs might be better in any%?

Incidentally, I am bottom in that IL, so this isn't me trying to win by default.
