To play on Linux: I recommend making a virtual machine of Ubuntu Desktop 22.04 and giving it enough resources from the real hardware to make it work properly. Although the game is not demanding, when running on an emulator inside a virtual machine there can be several drops and drops in frames. You must download the maemo emulator, you can get it on its official page: https://thp.io/2023/maemulator/ Note: This emulator is made specifically to run Bounce Evolution, so it cannot access most Maemo features.
Later I recommend extracting the file and following the steps that are almost to the end in the README.md, you will need to know how to use the Linux terminal and move between directories so that you do not have problems. I do not do a complete tutorial because it is better to follow the steps indicated in the emulator. Once you finish the instructions indicated, you can run the game with the command: $ make run (As indicated in the instructions). Ready! You will now be able to play the only level of Bounce Evolution along with the arcade mode.
Important notes The emulator can only be run on Linux, not on Windows or Mac, this is because it uses libraries that are installed directly in the operating system, libraries that are specific to Linux and are not available for Windows or Mac.
The original device that Bounce Evolution runs on is the Nokia N900, but if you don't have this device (which has gone up in price quite a bit in the last few years because it's practically a collector's device) you can get a Nokia N9 and install it there. . The Nokia N9 is an excellent device in operating system and much cheaper than the Nokia N900 and it can run a lot of N900 software (Of course, not everything, the Nokia N900 will always be superior in terms of software).
