Found a fast battery collection route but it requires two wall rides each time. It nets you 250 in a couple of minutes though.
Aaaaand I just discovered how to skip island & throne room. Every time I think I'm done with this game...

Hello everyone! Another World is one of my favorite games of all time and I'm thinking about trying to speed run it. Anything I should be aware of or any tips you have for a newcomer?

Oh man, trying to do the mental gymnastics of where to fit that into the route (the island stuff). I'm going to do a showcase run that'll put together everything we have so far. We can come up with names from that too.
I think I just found the major skip in the island level. You can grab the tree top ramp on your first visit to the night side.
SO EXCITED TO SEE THIS!!! Yeah I found a few more things to cut out, but I'm really interested in these island tokens you're talking about! I need to go back and run it with hints on to see. I just followed Keewy's run and never looked back. As far as batteries go, the only other thing I can think of is that once you unlock all the window pieces in the main world, just farm the two fifty piece batteries in the back a few times and you're golden. Going to give this another shot tonight. FRIGGIN PUMPED!!
Submitted my run (FINALLY)! Unfortunately it wasn't my PB, but still good! Going to attempt another one tonight.
There were plenty of mistakes in my run, so I think 01:30:00 is definitely possible.
01:38:56! You can completely skip the first beach round and just scoop up the window piece later. Still waiting for my opportunity to record this weekend... Seriously where the f is everyone?
Trimmed it down to 01:47:26 but still can’t get a complete recording without interruption. I’ll try again this weekend.
