Hi Glitchedd, just wanted to let you know that both my obsolete GCN runs were done on Nintendont too, and need to be rejected. I also made the VOD from this WT run available again, as it was a victim of YouTube's mass privatization of unlisted videos. https://www.speedrun.com/dbzb1/run/7z0xlgez
Thank you for everything that you're doing!
Hello, can somebody please mark this as "fangame", and add its japanese name (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険~7人目のスタンド使い~)? Thanks! https://www.speedrun.com/7thjojo
Rules haven't been written yet, but timer starts when you gain control of your character (in Story levels after you close the game message, in Another Story right after the camera settles down). Stops on the very last hit.
Anyways, I will personally take care of checking the exact time for each run.
Actually, MAX special bar can be adjusted in the settings in every version of the game (just like difficulty, stocks and strenght of the attacks). Each version has its quirks:
- JoJo's Venture and its update (the one that people actually play) are pretty much different games.
- Dreamcast version has different frame data for tandem attacks.
- HD Ver. retains a bug from the VS mode of Dreamcast version: all characters have the same defense values, as opposed to every other version of the game. And of top of that, each version has different loading times, obviously.
About the second thing, do you mean dividing "All Characters" into a NG (characters to be unlocked) an NG+ (all characters already unlocked), + variables for each version of the game? That's something good to think about, as we still didn't talk about what to do with Full-game leaderboards.
Hello everyone! We are working on the idea of moving all the single Story Mode runs onto the Individual Levels section, like most other fighting games already do, because the great quantity of characters makes it very hard to keep the leaderboard clean. This also gives us a chance to better divide the categories for all the different versions of this game, to make it as fair as possible! You can already look at a preview on how it may look like in the end (beware it's still being worked on, so all the names/categories are provisory): https://www.speedrun.com/jojos_bizarre_adventure/individual_levels
What do you all think about this? Should we move to Individual Levels for better leaderboard management, or should we keep everything like before? We also accept suggestions!
Hi, I'm the moderator for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. Since it was added before it and the other games I moderate, I asked the mods from this game if they could add me as one: https://www.speedrun.com/jojos_bizarre_adventure Problem is, there are no Super Mods in there, so nobody could do anything. Someone also mentioned how series moderators can add themselves to the games... but I couldn't find anything about it.
I decided to make NG an "Any%" route, while NG+ a "100%" one. It's mostly because of some chapters getting unlocked after doing certain things/finishing the villain story mode.
Everything is set up. Have fun!
I'm going to work on this (and overall setting up better the leaderboards) between now and tomorrow!
I suggest adding to this, along other Yakuza games on PS4 and PC, a "Disc/HDD/SSD" variable (like most games on these platforms already do). I don't have an SSD to try this, but I guess it may make loading times way shorter, thus giving a great advantage. And obviously, PS4 Pro should be added as a platform!
Can you please add this game: https://www.speedrun.com/monster_allergy To this series: https://www.speedrun.com/kinder_and_ferrero
And this other game: https://www.speedrun.com/affari_tuoi To this other series? https://www.speedrun.com/italian_tv_shows
Can you add Street Boyz (https://www.speedrun.com/Street_Boyz) to the Simple 2000 series? (https://www.speedrun.com/simple_2000) Thanks!

Hi! I'm the admin of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. Since you where searching for someone, can I help you moderate this leaderboard? I'm also gonna give a shot to run this game whenever I get comfy with my recording equipment.
Hey, guys! Bumping this thread. I did a little comparision video today, which left me with some doubts.
First of all, let's forget about the USA vs JPN iso stuff that I mentioned in the past, it was 100% placebo. Their difference in loadings is very minimal (if not identical). I'm not completely sure about the gameplay tho, but Blaze Jeezus' record on NTSC-U should answer that question clearly. So, it's totally about the platform.
As you can see, both my games (played on the Nintendont GC emulator for the Wii) are identical, in loadings, to Blaze's run. And watching the previous GCN WR (by Back), I noticed that the game on the original GameCube had waaay slower loadings than our runs did. So, I wanted to ask Blaze Jeezus what platform did he use to play his run (original disc on Wii, or ISO on Nintendont? If you already mentioned it in the video, I'm so sorry, I didn't notice!). The reason I'm asking this is because I unfortunately don't have a physical copy of the game, and so I don't know if it, on the Wii, has the same loading times of the GameCube (thus making the Nintendont emulator "not viable").
In the end, anyways... yes, ther are only two solutions.
- Going loadless, which makes the most sense.
- Separating categories (ONLY if it is proved that the original game on the Wii has the same loading times of the Nintendont emulated version).
Because yes, there are way better runs that deserve to be in the place I am (and I was) right now.
Yup, it was GC iso, but played on console (Wii). Even though, somebody needs to confront USA and JPN versions ayways, because the latter felt so much smoother and faster to me at first. But might just be placebo. I absolutely second the fair loadless rule. It's making me realize how much undeserved my record is, lol
Hi! I am willing to learn how to run this game! But a question popped in my mind. Since I don't have an HD Game Capture, I have to record everything from the PS4 itself. The problem is, when some cutscenes start, the PS4 stops recording, probably because of movie/copyright footage. Is there a way to get around that problem?
Bumping, this could be a nice add. Maybe even something regarding DLC stories or individual levels for each part?
