Regarding the RSI, you should seek a doctor's professional help. As for verification, mods are active occasionally, don't worry about it, but submit your stuff as well, that 129 wall 1a is particularly interesting
I can't believe you got that using default coil making everyone else look like clowns, crazy rng
they are in the main categories, not in category extensions
alright, how about a hand-cam in that case? the dev wants to see the inputs happening to understand the glitch better
@Special please show us an input view, otherwise we can't really tell what's happening when.
The reason I'm suspecting this is what's happening to you is because going to that reversed direction is likely an input you made before eating the apple, and it's happening after you eat, even though you try to go the other way, the input buffer has already decided to go the other way since that's how you ate the apple initially.
I think the explanation you gave isn't clear enough, but I'll tell you what is probably happening to you and why Twin mode is so unpopular and people don't understand why they keep dying.
Twin mode unfortunately has an "input buffer", meaning if you turn "right-down" into an apple, and the "down" input is supposed to happen after you eat the apple, (you eat it immediately after pressing "right"), that "down" input will happen after you switch sides, which has a pretty solid chance of killing you. The game developer knows this, this was mostly "imported" from how Portal works, but in Twin mode it's a problem, where as in Portal mode it makes perfect sense.
The safest way to play Twin is to eat "single input" and react in time to the input you actually need to make after switching sides, and you get 1 tile time unit delay (135ms normal speed, 89.1ms fast speed) after switching sides to make this input if you need to turn to survive.
I could make a video that would explain this more clearly with a real in game example illustrating everything, this is the best I got in text anyways.
Bottom line, this isn't really a bug, more like an "oversight". I believe this input buffer needs to be removed from Twin mode, it pretty much only hurts the player. In terms of speedrunning it makes it easier to save the 1 tile time unit delay, but that's both not necessary and still possible without it, plus the game is developed at google without speedrunning in mind so it's irrelevant.
This game has enough categories my dude, the Cartesian multiplication to get all possible modes in blender is ridiculous and can't fit in SRC in it's current state, so it's not happening. Many of the combos also don't make any sense in terms of gameplay or speedrunning. Even just adding it on it's on and allowing people to play any combo they like seems to me like something that doesn't fit on the mainboard, it'd be a category extension at best.
depends on the mod dark mode is allowed, custom fruit is allowed removing snake parts using deletestuff mod is weird but it is only visuals so it sounds like it should be allowed (custom snakes in the future? who knows) although I haven't seen anyone submit anything with it, so it needs to be discussed
more menu mod is obviously not allowed, at least not anything that actually changes gameplay custom apple counts? not allowed custom speeds? not allowed custom board sizes? not allowed
Hey, this isn't really a new idea, blender mode came out July 2021 and we polled the community on this, but eventually the mods decided to leave it out of the boards since the optimal combination of modes at the top will be the same and quite stale.
You can join the discord and see this addressed in #faq with the following answer: There are too many possible category combinations to keep track of them all. Adding a "general any%" blender mode category will just result in optimizations similar to death%, making it pointless again. Combining :peaceful: 🧀 :yinyang: :portal: :winged: :small: :5 apples: can be as optimized as 0:00.000 given enough grinding. Even if it's "rare" to get, all that's done is resetting and clicking any direction key once, it's not a real speedrun.
yeah if you submit that garbage you'll be banned @NadoTheBoi
