I did it with the left rocks too. I didn't try it as much but I did get it once (wasn't expecting it to work though and fell oob)
It's been a while since I've ran this, but here's a couple I remember -In Tahu 1, PS2 can quit and load out of the "spawn rahi" cutscene -In Tahu 1, GCN can easily avoid a textbox by the first Nui-Jaga that PS2 cannot -Onua skip is slightly different, iirc it's slightly faster on GameCube
The other thing I've noticed is that PS2 will have mid-level loads that I don't ever remember encountering on GameCube. I'm not sure how outside level load times compare. Haven't tested any other versions, everyone seems to run on one of those two
Oh, and I think Dustiel said PC version can't skip the opening cutscene in Tahu 1
8 didn't say Gym was cheating I know for a fact he isnt. Also thanks for the help dude. I appreciate it very much. Also yeah this run is a very bad example to show
I added categories for GBA and DS versions, they're under miscellaneous

Why is the background the Toa Metru, when this game takes place on Mata Nui?

This game wasn't released on Wii, but it was on PC. Could you change that?

I want to learn this game for the 12 hour challenge next week. Is there anything I should know going into it, or anything that would help me learn?

There's a Bionicle Speedrunning discord - it's pretty much just used for Bionicle Heroes at the moment, but this game could join if you would like.
Right now, it's just personal preference. The requirements are:
-Game started: Coastline -1 Level beaten: Mountain, Stronghold -1 Piraka beaten: Desert -2 Piraka beaten: Volcano -3 Piraka beaten: Jungle -6 Piraka beaten: Awakening
Right now we're kind of trying to figure out what the best order would be to go with upgrading toa abilities, so things could change a little bit. But at the moment, just do what you feel like. I do Coastline, Desert, Volcano, Stronghold, Mountain, Jungle, Awakening.
I think most other games have them as separate categories. If you guys are interested in running them I can add them
It's getting 100% on the pause screen. I think that just means getting every canister and golding everything? But it might include the bonus levels you have to get from the shop as well. We haven't finished routing it yet. If you have discord, we can talk about it there: https://discord.gg/WXmTptY
When you say strafe walking, were you using the strafe button on a controller? Or walking left/right while moving forwards? I was under the impression that you had the pc version.
Either way, cool find
How did you measure the speeds? I was under the impression that red was equal or slightly faster than green.
You're definitely right about the rocks and slopes bit. Here's an oob (actually quite easy) in the main hub that you can do with red, green, or blue. You can also use the recoil of brown to make it up, but that's a bit more tricky.
Curiously, I couldn't get this to work on pc, only on gamecube.
I'd recommend watching one of the top runners' runs, and follow this guide: http://www.speedrun.com/tphd/guide/ug4on
As for practice files, I know TWWHD runners use multiple accounts so that they can save several sets of practice files. I think you can import them somehow, but if you can't I guess you can always make your own files. Sorry, I don't really play this game often, mostly just the SD version.
