EnglandWould it be ideal for runners to have a sub category for the Crystal of Wisdom and/or Land of Ardyl?
I know someone will ask this question at some point in the future asking why there isn't a NG+ for games like Undiscovered Realms, The Traitor Souls and The Cursed King.
The reason behind this is that it will be highly unfair for someone that has levelled up for a long time to speedrun the game as compared to someone that has beaten the game once and used that same character immediately afterwards for a run.
However, there will be a new category to be released that will feature NG+. The rule being is that you MUST start the first FATE game on NG, import the same character onto Undiscovered Realm, then again onto Traitor Soul and finally onto Cursed King, completing one game after another. That way it will all be timed as one complete run and any grinding you do for one game can have repercussions on the final time.
If you so wish to, you can use the time that you got for the first FATE game as whatever Any% difficulty you did as a time and then the entire FATE run as another run.
Evidence must be shown of the difficulty that NG uses and evidence must also be shown of the same character being used for each game, as you can't change difficulty when importing characters in the 3 latest games.
Hey, so recently picked this game up from the steam market place. Very fun to play and the speedrun looks simple enough. Just asking if there is any good strats to keep in mind when running the game. I know rocket launchers is good to maximise early on in the game to kill elders quickly but if there's any other tips for this. Here's my first playthough time in game, but streaming wise was about 90 odd minutes.

With the game having so much to do and so much to collect, it would be an interesting concept to have a bingo style speedrun card for people to casually go through, going from the small objectives like grow 100 cotton wool to some more extreme ones like killing a thrumbo.
So I took some time to organise a discord channel, just to help keep the community, however small we may be, alive and together. Added a few channels to it but feel free to add more. Once current runners are up and active on discord, I'll mod them so at least we can manage it together.
Now I've seen the guide saying that holding your breath for the speedrun can be cancer as it's slow, but what if it's required to pull off moments that require only a couple of frames? For example, this video shows the person using slow mo as an advantage to getting the shots where they need to be to manipulate the targets, granted of course if you were going for a speedrun you won't aim directly at the head and hold off with the slow mo for such occasions. Just wondering what the discussion would be on this and finding out when the best time to use it, or if not at all.
Decided one day just to do a short blind run to the first Metroid and kill it. Very easy learning what sounds to hear out for as well as routing for it. Hope you enjoy!

Again a few months ago, was able to test out a full speedrun for the game bit by bit and managed to come up with some notes that could be useful when speedrunning it. Hope it helps anyone and possible gets updated in the future.

Been busy last few months but I did a document a few months back on where to get numerous abilities and items along with the stats it gives. Now most of these aren't really useful for the speed run however it's a good indication of where to find what you need.

Ok, I've done a speed run for the game now, I set the timer from when you first shoot out of the window to when you trigger the C4 at the end of the last level. Now I'm not sure if the current WR run is set to these times or if it's different.
Hey, just started speed running the game only today, managed to get WR pace for the first two levels, but having some issues with the third level, especially on the sea. It seems it takes forever to catch up to the Valkyrie and I'm going past stuff I never would normally see on a casual run. Is there any way to speed up this part or do I just have to cope if it does happen?
I'm Vanity_Smoke, I speed run Dead Rising 3 and hoping to move onto other zombie games and indie games in the near future. In my spare time I play games like Counter Strike and Call of Duty and watching classic movies.
