I actually posed this question a few months ago to some other runners and asked how they would rather it be counted (or not at all). Unfortunately I didn't get a response from any of them, so I'll say for now that it would be the easy challenge completed in that scenario.
TL;DR The level that you end at will be the level that would count in the run.
Hey, I'm just a bit confused about the reason my run of the Tutorial - Novice Rank was rejected. The rejection reason was, "Outdated. This was made 1 years ago. the game has had multiple updates to speed performace and other features since then", but the run happened and was submitted 5 months ago, which is a bit after the updates that were discussed in the other forum.
There's also another run in the same category that's a month older than mine that was accepted the same day mine was rejected.
Maybe instead of trying to do all the same things I did, try and find something I didn't do as fast as possible and work with that? The run wasn't perfect, just a lot more optimized that the last.
You can definitely save time on the first island by beating the one enemy faster. Similarly you can save time by beating the enemies on the two boats faster, as well as pushing the distance you can get from the target to hit it, and jumping farther over the gap off of the bridge onto second boat. You can get a weaker launch and land on the next island faster as well, then save time by jumping over the gap closer to the cannon rather than walking the whole way on the top part of the island. The next island is the one you can most easily save time on, there's tons of room for improvement there.
I could keep going, but the point is that there is a lot you could do to lower the time still, but it may require some practice. So good luck!
