Just out of curiosity, go check other leaderboards like Sega Rally, Daytona USA 2 or Daytona USA and you'll see all platforms mixed when you go to the leaderboards (Arcade, Arcade Emu, PC, etc...) like it is on almost all leaderboards around here. That's what filters are for.

Mirdo has already noted my run as PS3 on the leaderboard. I also completed a deathless run, which no one has done before, so it doesn't matter anymore, unless someone does another deathless run on a PS2 with better times than mine.

I submitted two runs for Daytona USA, and it’s been 21 days since then. There is only one mod for the game, and they’re not active on the site. I’ve waited for 21 days, and today I sent them a message using the message button on the site, and also tried to contact them through one of their social media links.

What should I do now? I’m new to the speedrun community and thought it would be more active, so maybe I don’t fully understand how this community works.

Sometimes people post things on the forums, but it seems like others just skip over them or take days to respond. The forum itself doesn’t seem very crowded. Are people more focused on the runs themselves, so they don’t interact much on the forums? I’m not complaining, though.

I'm trying to speedrun the game Stuntman (PS2), and it's really difficult. Today I finally got a good run to submit, but when I went to check the video footage, there was no sound! I think it has something to do with my home theater and HDMI-ARC. The system was muted most of the time because I'm tired of listening the director calling "CUT! TOO SLOW!", it was driving me nuts!

I record my video using an USB HDMI capture card and I also film the screen of the TV with a webcam while I'm playing. And there is a timer on the screen aswell. Just the sound bugged.

Is my run valid to submit? It took me a LOT of patience and effort to get the run going. I don't want to lose it.

@Pigouni46 You have to check the rules for each game. Some allows without a video proof, most don't.

It depends on the game. Some games takes less than 24 hours. Others may take 3 weeks or more.

I was going to post about that yesterday, but got really tired and went to bed early.

For those who don't know, the Xbox 360 version got recompiled to run on PC. It's the closest we get from an oficial port.

I don't remember much of Daytona USA 2 on the arcades as I only played a few times before it was retired. But the way the CPU cars behave in the supermodel emulator compared to the official ports inside the Yakuza games is very different. I noticed that the CPU in supermodel race almost on rails, but in the official port they try to block you, they change lines all the time, they ram the back of your car... I noticed that supermodel does not do any of that, and that only shows how some emulators are very inacurate. I was trying to do a run on supermodel and got very disapointed. I vaguely remember the real arcade being very much like the official port and much less like the supermodel emulator.

I even watched some of the runs here and they are very much not like the real hardware at all. I thought I was imagining things, but I saw a run on youtube with the real arcade, and that oppened my eyes to how inacurate supermodel is.

Well, at least supermodel suports wheels very well and has widescreen support.

There are bots reported on the first page of this thread from 3 years ago that are still registered and not banned. I thought this thread was to ban the bots from the site.

My runs for this game has been verified very quickly, so I thank the mods for that.

I'm new to the speedrun community and all my runs were already being uploaded to Youtube.

I wish you good luck finding new folks to be mods here, if it's really needed.
