Did you actually just make 59 submissions at the same time I'm gonna cry
I suppose not, though I don't really see the benefit in switching it up 🤔
The only kinda iffy one is the direct warp, but everything else is kosher and not considered a glitch.
We are not considering a glitchless category at this time.
I'm not 100% opposed to the idea. The idea behind using major patches as categories was to allow for players to run on any patch they want, but in practice pretty much everyone runs on the most current patch anyway. We'll probably talk about it on the discord.
Please edit the title of No Man's Sky ( /nms ) to include an apostrophe in "Man's".
When uploading new images for trophies and game icons, they save successfully, but the leaderboard continues to use the old icons. This persisted even after deleting the new icon (which successfully reverted to the default icon), and re-uploading the new icon.
Leaderboards tested were /nms, /driver_you_are_the_wheelman_gbc and /mib_ts
I disagree - I see the large variety on the boards as intimidating, and largely unnecessary. First thing though, impossible categories (i.e. Beyond and earlier) need to be moved to their own Legacy categories under Misc., since their records can never be broken anymore. Second, why is "Unknown" a variable? There's no runs under it. Third, VR...? That's a niche thing combined with the niche of speedrunning, combined with the unpopularity of NMS. I highly doubt anyone is going to submit for that, and even if someone wants to, just ask, and show us your run.
Also can we take the % off of everything?
Oh and one last thing, why does "100%" not require the Artemis path? Or completing all the tech trees?
EDIT: Okay there's one run under Unknown, with no video. Still.
Like...everything is a %, we have way too many category subdivisions, some of which literally can no longer be run, categories that are empty, categories that nobody in their right mind would run (who the hell is gonna do a run to Iousongola?!), joke categories that really belong as category extensions which are also empty, the super mod hasn't done anything in eight months and the regular mod appears to be too busy playing rocket league to check the discord more than once a fortnight.
Just...some cleanup would be nice, y'know?
I went ahead and made a discord server. Feel free to join! Invite link is in the sidebar.
That is simply untrue. You are presented with a difficulty selection upon beginning any solo duty.
As shown here, from my own (failure-less) run:
You absolutely can unsync the dungeons/trials.
Nope. No reason for them.
It's tech. Either do the duty as a tank/healer or solo it.
Hello,
New management is here! The rules for the Home Run category have been adjusted.
I'm looking to take over MLB The Show 17. Its only moderator is inactive on the site and on social media.
Gonna go ahead and request Duels of the Planeswalkers 2015. https://www.speedrun.com/mtg2015
Homeboy has made one forum post in the last two years, and his last twitch activity was two years ago. No other contact info.
Effective immediately, the toggle for "EnableCutsceneSkipDelay" in the BuddhaDefault.cfg file, located at \Data\Config in your install directory, may be set to "false". If you do so, runs you make are to be submitted to the "Modded" category.
Speedrunning is about fun. Stacking isn't a particularly competitive game, and allowing the change of config file will mostly remove the unfun RNG element of runs. I say mostly, because you can still randomly skip the title cards at the beginning of cutscenes, and we don't really know how or why that happens, but missing title card skips no longer destroys your chances at a world record.
There are two ways to accomplish this.
Manual Method: Open your Stacking directory in Explorer/Finder. Navigate to \Data\Config, and open BuddhaDefault.cfg in your favorite text editor. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the file, and you'll find "EnableCutsceneSkipDelay=true". Change true to false. Save the file and close. You're done.
Still Manual But Less Involved Method: Retrieve the BuddhaDefault.cfg file located in the Resources section on this game's speedrun.com page (It's to the left). Open your Stacking directory in Explorer/Finder. Navigate to \Data\Config, and replace BuddhaDefault.cfg with the copy you downloaded from here. You're done.
Happy stacking!
I'm back to ask for moderator to Stacking ( https://www.speedrun.com/Stacking ). BubblesDelFuego has told me to ask for it ( https://twitter.com/bubblesdelfuego/status/1087091995179393025 ), and the other two moderators haven't been on the site in three years.
I'd like to be made a mod of Stacking. ( https://www.speedrun.com/Stacking ) I'm really the only person who runs that game, and the only active moderator is BubblesDelFuego, who is far too busy and important to deal with moderating a game just for my sake.
