United StatesIf you want to add an external timer to the video that's fine, but the in game file select timer is the only accepted timing method for console runs so you would not be allowed to submit anything that deviates from that.
Game still new, we might add category extensions in the future but with the DLC coming up it's not in our list of priorities atm (considering game isn't even finished yet). If you want to run a category never let a lack of a category on SRC prevent you from doing it.
Shouldn't be manually starting your splits. Soulsplitter does that for you when starting your run. If you're not using soulsplitter (you should) and it's just a general livesplit issue forums aren't really the best place to help you troubleshoot that. Please direct message a mod or preferably join the discord and ask in the #ER-Help channel.
We have no plans to make any major board changes until after the DLC drops, but I will discuss NMG with the other moderators in the meantime.
All speedruns are to be done on a new file, this is in our ruleset very clearly stated and reiterated to yu by sieg. You do not need speedrun.com to do runs and if you want to run NG+ that's fine they just will not be accepted here. If you're still struggling to understand after this I do not know what to tell you.
Title pretty much says it all, it's incredibly hard to coordinate and communicate in a server as large as Kira's especially when there's no dedicated speedrun channels, this heavily prevents the flow of information between runners. If not that's fine I'm not here to argue just to make suggestions.

omega TLDR everyone (all 1 active runner) dropped all bosses with the discovery and implementation of chainsaw glitch as it's a physically demanding trick to do 150+ times and leads to an incredibly unfun to run and watch category. There's not much hope for post DLC all bosses either but if you want to see the category run be the change you want to see.
Been pretty busy with study and running/modding other games, I currently do not have the time, if one of the other OG runners wants to take the reigns I will give you super mod and dip out as I don't see the point in upkeeping these boards until the full release.
I love speedrun.com so much for giving me notifications a week late consistently. You can join the discord to discuss this if you'd like, but as of now there is no need for a glitchless category as it'd just be boring nmg and defining what is and isn't a glitch is not as simple as it seems on the surface. You're free to do whatever speedrun you want, speedrun.com boards are not necessary for every meme speedrun that people decide to do however.
Emulators are banned. If you have a phone or a camera capable of pointing at your TV that's going to be your best bet for recording. I will ask Jal to put that Emulator is banned more clearly in the game rules.
That does not count as a major skip in terms of the category, I designed the 2 major categories in a way that I think will be relevant in the full release, if they are not relevant then the category names can easily be changed. As for the final jump I also struggle with it as well, lost 7 50s nms runs to it and I just can't seem to find a way to get it consistently. I know that jump distance is based off of speed and you need to be grounded for a certain amount of time to regain max speed, but I have no idea how far back on the last seasaw to regain max speed.
