Hey Dom! I was having the exact same problem when running especially in Level 6 & Apocalypse where the most meteors are present, which is really unfortunate since these stages take up a large chunk of the run. It completely went away once I got a new computer however. I can suggest going to Task Manager > Details > DinoRun DX and increasing the priority, as well as closing any unneeded background applications. You can also (in Steam) go to DinoRun DX > Properties > Set Launch Options, and entering text to specify a frame cap based on your computer's RAM.
