thinking about a possible tourney in the future for both legacy and the mines at some point (since apparently legacy is bound to return)
with the help of our verifiers, main lead by @8y8x and @Nolyswag we've been able to introduce a new layout for the Category extensions that will hopefully not be as confusing as it may have been before. It's supposed to introduce a more clear layout in which you don't have to scroll for ages for the correspondent category you may want to look up records for.

there's no real way to be able to avoid said bug because, as you mentioned, it's random. however, you can forcefully get figure to turn deaf in both floor 1 and 2, by simply running around, making him follow you and then jump into a closet to get him to aggro on you. Once he does that, you just jump out of the closet and he literally won't kill you lol.
again in regards to your issue the run wouldn't be rejected in that instance because it's not something that you did willingly. hope this helps :)

@AuroraOfAugust For some reason, at least from what I could identify, Figure only goes to a certain designated spot in that room before starting to either full on chase you or breaking down and going deaf. It works really consistently if Figure starts to instantly chase you down, in order for him to pretty much go to the starting spot of where you entered the room (since we know that figure usually looks in the area of where the player last walked uncrouched, we can use that to our advantage and kinda mess around with figure to just run around him before he pays attention to every step you take).
again the game's been recoded from scratch and there's things bound to be significantly more different than before, and the figure AI's one of them. pretty fun though lol
