v3.x add an extra stage after the last bowser with one extra quick star, that we decided it will be the end of the run of each categories on versions 3.x
@Apianbelle Mario Cam C-Down is forbidden for Mario Cam runs, so you have to do the full run with the cam zoom-in, so you can really do the same setup as normal 1 star, because the setup is using Mario Cam C-Down, which is forbidden, so doing SBLJ with this restriction is pretty hard
@WookisDaOne @supergamer3000 This isn't really the place to speak about routing and stuff, WookisDaOne, i'll be happy to talk about it with you on dms if you want
For N64 (and also EMU versions) PAL version is just slower because of the fact the game is running at 25fps, where NTSC-U and NTSC-J run at 30fps, so PAL N64 version are strictly slower that NTSC N64 versions.
About 3DAS, the version is unique so everyone does have the same game.
About languages, english text is faster for 70 Star only (so NTSC-U for N64/EMU players, and use english text on 3DAS) For alll other categories, japanese text is the fastest text (NTSC-J for N64/EMU players, and use japanese text on 3DAS)
Sunshine is actually the only game which doesn't need video proof if your time is slower than another time. But i guess it's better to do so when you have categories with multiple games (3D All star any%/100%) to have the video need for all categories as a main rules, instead of put a time barrier, if you are slower you don't need a video, because if we do so for sunshine in 3DAS, some runners of SM64 and SMG may ask for a time barrier too. So it's better to have all runs with video That's my guess
this is just a troll, we all know in SM64 community that consecutives Long Jumping Forward in stairs do not give enough speed to clip through doors, walls ...
Japanese text is the fastest language for SM64 120 stars
i'm not doing this because i'm mad because i've lost WR in this caterogy, but exit course is forbidden and he exits when he enters in BitS, so the run shouldn't be valid
@LukeSaward yeah i know this technique, i was tlaking about a trick you can see on some top run in Genocide, when the character can get encounter without actually pressing the arrows, because he is actually "moving", but you just see the animation, he isn't actually going forwards
I know i have to use Floating IPS, i just don't understand on which file i have to apply the patch
And thanks for this, i was pretty sure it's juste for swap, but I like those "useless" things
I'm using the Linux V1.001 and i've some question I don't really understand how to apply the patch (.bps) from the Weapon Practice Mod, could anyone help me there? Also I saw from some Genocide runs, the character is walking without moving and pressing any buttons (like in snowdin, when farming monsters). Does Anyone knows how to do it? Thanks
Because the last Bowser Door opens at 70 Stars. If you don't have 70 Star, the door won't open and you just can't access to the endless stairs. You can go in Sky if you do the 0 Star TAS BLJ. That's why there aren't 0,1 and 16 STar Leaderboard
This one looks better than mine, i'll test this one for 70. Do you know if you can get 120 Star with this seed?
but for ILs, it's also depends of the seed, isn't it? I assume you won't do like 65.536 differents IL's leaderboards, one for each seed.
35698 seems good, in 3 runs, got 1:41 (blind run), 1:15 and 1:06
