xbox works too, and you can also use controllers to reroll the shop and to buy the leftmost card of packs quickly (good when you have telescope) but aside from that you gotta test what controls you're more comfortable with

i had complex easy mode on the settings, if you don't have it unlocked yet you can use the option to unlock everything on the game

As you described, that glitch happens when you spawn a clone very close to a wall while, at the same time, not touching it. Currently, it has no use in speedrunning though.
