I believe that any player that submits a run should do it from start to finish.
"But if you want, we can open a topic to discuss about that rule and see what other speedrunners thinks about that. "
I would like this alot. If you could, please do. I'm very interested to know what the rest of the community thinks about this topic.
Edit: And sorry for sort-of derailing this thread. I'll get back on topic:
For the "using glitches" issue I agree with Cladall and Voetiem. To me, only what is achievable is relevant in the most recent version and therefor in "my rankings" these are non-existent really.
On the other hand I also see why you would feature them, at one point during this game's development it was achievable doing it legit. So there's no arguing wether they count or not aslong as we all agree that the relevance is bound to a specific version and at a certain point in time it was achievable and thus it is legit.
Well, first of all i've recently joined your wonderful speedrunning community. So it's unlikely I was in that discussion. Is there a thread you can link me to it? Would be interesting to see what ppl think.
As for the run I mentioned you can clearly see that he gets kicked by the host. Then a few seconds later you hear them being proud in the lobby about their time. It's crystal clear what goes on there, it's not a disconnect problem. And you can verify it. The video is taken from the host' perspective.
"Imagine more, we reject the run because of a problem of connexion a run which was a perfect run. I think everybody will be a lot salty. "
If you can't finish what you start, then it shouldn't count. An incomplete run is not what I call "a perfect run" at all.
