Using Autohotkey for anything else than your basic control binds (so you don't have re-do them every reset) should not be allowed.
Rebinding controls is a thing that takes variable amounts of time (missclicks happen, bad mouse placements, etc), so it should remain part of the run.
Depending on how good/bad your pc is and how fast it reloads the game, you might have to save further left or right than me.
Also I stand somewhere in the middle of the 2nd to last small background hill (almost middle of the screen) and wait until Kirby is at the small background hill to the right of it.
Almost no one uses the default binds, except for Kalemandu as far as I know.
I use Arrows, Spacebar to Jump and E to Shoot Others use AD to move, W to jump and Backspace/Shift to shoot
Just do what you are comfortable with.
The event was nice as usual (hotel/venue/how the event space was used)
Shoutout to Tech (and Liva) for doing an amazing job this time around, felt like pretty much everything went smoothly.
Can't really be bothered to point out all the positives, because most others have done so already
Open Block was a solid idea
Metako doing a 23 hour meme run on Stream 2 was pretty bad, especially with the GTA:SA "meme" run happening at the same time at prime time. 2 streams and we still had a good 2.5 hours where neither showed "proper" speedrunning...I don't know man.
Adding a "bonus run", aka a continuation of a meme run, after the marathon is supposed to be over is a nice way to bait donations, but the Final Run should be the Final Run.
Having 2 shoot keys was not allowed when rules were discussed as far as I know.
You open the control mapping menu with CTRL + Y and click the bottom left X, then you bind your controls to whatever you want them to be.
You can open the control menu with CTRL + Y. In there, you put Up or Down to the same button as Shoot. Then you will shoot 2 bullets at once.
For platforming watch this:
For controls, do whatever works well for you. A lot of people play with Jump and Movement keys on the same hand, so they can focus on shooting with their other hand...it's not required though. A few control setups are: WASD for movement, Backspace to Shoot Arrow keys for movement, Shift to Shoot Arrow keys for direction, Spacebar to jump, E to shoot (this is what I do, don't copy this, it's bad)
For bosses: Don't use Double Shot (bind Up or Down to the same button as Shoot) on Hello Kitty, Skeleton King or Shang Tsung. You can freely use it on every other boss. Once you beat the game you unlock a boss rush, so practicing becomes a lot more comfortable.
You just download it and unzip the folder, no install.
Don't think it's possible to share saves between different PCs. Arzztt probably didn't know that when he uploaded the practice saves.
Beat the game on Average-Mode while collecting Awesomesauce, Mixer, Rupee, Timer, Cake, Scouter and Metal Gear. You can unlock him in the Prize Room after beating Solgryn.
Or you go to the "Resources" tab on this page, download the onlinelicence.ini file and put it into your Boshy folder.
Do you mean CTRL + Y?
I would say it's not allowed because you are binding 2 buttons to 1.
Already signed up on Page 1, just confirming that Thursday actually works for me.
that's +1 for the list of people misspelling my name.
I'll let you know if theres a conflict as soon as you post the time.
The second hall will be divided by a wall in the middle this year (at least according to the Floor Layout thread), so we should be fine. Might still be a good idea to look into getting a seperate smallish room just for RB.
Pretty much the same thread as last year, it was pretty popular, so why not?
Who's bringing what? I am going to bring my guitar again and maybe my games (most GH and RB main games),
Don't think I'll bring my 360 again unless no one else is going to bring one. My DLC library is kinda small and very focused on Metal.
Something we were desperately lacking last year were Drums and a RB3 Keyboard, so if anyone has either of those or knows somebody that has them...maybe we can figure something out.
