Hello, well, I had seen that this game was recently added to the site, I had already looked for it a while ago but I hadn't found it. I really wanted to speedrun this game, but it is very big and there is only one category that is the any%. I wanted to ask you to add some more categories to make this game better and easier to run. any answer thank you.

The 2x EXP mod is there for that reason, it would basically cut the run in half due to needing to grind less. What other categories do you have in mind?

Would this 2 XP mod be used on a psp emu? a suggestion that is not a good idea is: Buggy% or Arlong% playing in new game until you defeat these certain bosses

2x EXP mod would be used with Citra, the 3ds emulator. The PSP version is naturally going to be much, much longer due to the worse balancing and lack of helpful equipment and SP boosts. I can make Arlong%, that sounds like a good category with enough bosses to feel fulfilling

I use the psp emulator (ppsspp) I think it's better to play but I confess that when I saw your any% run it seems to have a lot more items even since when I played I had to redo the same level 2 times to have enough items to defeating Arlong% bosses would be really cool

Yeah, the PSP version is definitely the worse version of the game. Ive beaten both all the way through and the PSP version bosses have an unfair amount of health and damage and the game gives you no equipment to deal with it at all. For example, Krieg has 3800HP on PSP but around 2600 on 3DS. You also don't have the ability to Sprint. I recommend playing 3DS but the choice is yours at the end of the day.

The 2x EXP Mod is a modification of the game technically. It changes the reward system to reward twice as much EXP and SP. This is theoretically possible for the PSP as well, but the problem was that due to the infrastructure of that version it was more likely to break. Regardless its possible to make one for both when I am free. PSP is much slower since you effectively move at half speed so its very common to not be able to avoid fights and thus increases the amount of fights you take, and also bosses are stronger in every way so you basically need more levels by a lot to beat them so that version is very level dependent.

EDIT: Its also extremely luck based since you cant manage your stats much and drops are extremely rare and so getting them makes your run much faster. So effectively your run can die if you dont get Kuro Glasses and Krieg Battle Spear for example. Also the PSP version is Japanese and translating it slowly corrupts your game breaking certain menu's as you get more items.

I understood then how the psp has a disadvantage what do you think of a category 4 xp? to make it a little easier in boss fights the buggy has a colossal life on the psp I already saw the clear disadvantage but you decide I wanted to try a run first on the psp and then test the DS emulator
