DXWnd Guide (GoG Version)

0. Download [this file](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ydXWZf9eZw1DkjP13VzW-MIrkDDxAxQm/view?usp=sharing)

1. In DXWnd File -> Import -> choose the file you downloaded.

2. 	Name: Whatever you want
	Path: pop3.exe which is found in your T2T installation directory
	Launch: PrinceOfPersia.exe which is in the same directory

3. (This step may not be required, but happened to be necessary on my system) Go to your installation directory and right click on PrinceOfPersia.exe, and click Properties. Go into the Compatibility tab. Click the "Change settings for all users" button. In the box that opens, uncheck any boxes that are checked. Click Apply and OK. Now in the original properties box do the same thing. Uncheck anything that is checked. Click Apply and OK. 

4. Run the game and it should work.

How to play PoP T2T in windowed mode (using dxwnd)

1. Download "dxwnd" from http://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/ unpack it and start dxwnd.exe 

2. Right-click on the white space in dxwnd and select "Add". Make sure "path" links to the POP3.exe! After filling out the empty spaces it should look like this: 
(My path for example is 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Prince of Persia Two Thrones\POP3.EXE')

You now should be able to play T2T windowed by simply starting it normally (= starting it the normal way / given that dxwnd is opened of course).

Edit: I'm on Windows 7 with the steam version. If you're not on Win7 I can't guarantee that this will work for you. (It should though in most cases)

Setting Up the Autosplitter

1.) Setup Livesplit: http://livesplit.github.io/downloads/

2.) Right click anywhere in Livesplit and choose Open Splits -> From File...

3.) Open one of the splits files found in the Resources tab of this site (for the lazy: [click](https://www.speedrun.com/pop_t2t/resources/ttqhe))

4.) Right click anywhere in Livesplit and choose Edit Splits

5.) Underneath the Attemps box ensure that the Activate button is clicked.

6.) Enjoy. The script auto-starts, auto-splits, and auto-detects category based on your splits file.

Side Notes: The name of each split is unimportant. If making your own splits, you need to ensure you have the number of splits the script is expecting, and that the category and subcategory (found under the 'Additional Info' tab) are set correctly. If you discover a bug please notify me (samabam) on Discord so we can fix it.

Updating Autosplitters (Pull Requests)

1. First step, make a github.com account.

2. Find the asl script you want to update. (This should be listed in Resources here on src).

3. Click on the edit pencil seen here:

4. Add your desired changes and click Commit Changes.

5. Now travel to the Pull Request tab and click "New pull request"

6. Click "Create pull request" to send your changes to the owner for review.

In the event a script owner leaves the community, upload your script to your own github account. Copy a link to the raw file and make a pull request of the autosplitters code, placing your raw link where the former script owner's used to be.
