Could I use the edition of this game that appears in The Basement Collection for runs? Or would that be a different page?

Just the first level? If so here it is. It's a Chapter 1 run as well but the first level is obviously included.

Yeah, it's allowed since there are no differences.

There technically are differences, but they're pretty minor. So yes, you can run on The Basement Collection version.

The physics in The Basement Collection are more like Super Meat Boy. Meat Boy slows down easier and his jump height can be controlled, unlike the web version where it's always the same height. Don't think anything else changed, though.
