Fast Ghost and Boo Catching

Probably one of the most confusing/aggravating things about the remake is the way you catch ghosts. Unlike the original, you have to "wiggle" in one direction. You can tell if its working if the HP is going down by extremely fast. If that is happening, whatever you are doing in that moment, you basically just have to keep that movement up.
One problem you might encounter is that the ghosts with stronger pulls (i.e Biff Atlas and Slim Bankshot) will cause Luigi to topple over. If you ever see Luigi bending over while catching you should stop wiggling and only pull in one solid direction. Once Luigi props himself up again, you can start wiggling again.
You should typically just use a small wiggle.

For Boos, I have found that moving around in a circle works very well. While R pumping does exist, it really only helps when you have ice.

- Top Left Wardrobe

- Bottom Left (IF pulled there by Twirler)

Anteroom:
- Top Left dresser (try to perform a double with speedy and twirlier)
- Top Center dresser 
- Left Side Chandelier

Wardrobe Room:
- Center wardrobe (after first wave)

***As you head to the study, re-check money spots in Anteroom and Parlor you may have missed.***

Study:
- Cheese Mouse

Lydia's Room:
- Left Cabinet 
- Speedy in Right Dresser
- Bills from Fan

Nursery:
- Floor Spread

***You should have 8.5 to 9.0 G's after Area 1.***

1F Bathroom:
- Speedy in Sink

Ballroom:

- Both drawers in top corners, cheese mouse

Butler Cycle:
- Check vase outside Clairvoya's Room
- Check vase outside laundry
- Grab speedy in bottom right bucket in butler's room
- Grab Sapphire in bottom left bucket

Hidden Room:
- Bottom left chest
- Center chest
- Chandelier 

Butler's Room:
- Check left cabinet on exit

Laundry Room:
- Recheck money spots
- Green Chest

Conservatory:
- Chandelier
- Top Right cabinet

Dining Room:
- Top Right cabinet

Kitchen:
- Kitchen RNG Mouse if you so wish

***After Clairvoya, water the plant for the second time, and remember to grab ice!***

Blackout:
Tea Room: Speedy in top left chair
Twins Room: Speedy in bunk bed
*Defeat Grimmly at this point and warp to foyer.*
Mirror Room: Speedy in right side cabinet

*Continually check basement stairs chandelier during the run. After you clear Cellar, water the plant, and don't forget ice for telephone room!*

Telephone Room:
- Green Chest

Clockwork Room:
- Both lights

Armory:
- Left chest, both right side chests

Ceramics Studio:
- Green Chest

***Clear the room first, otherwise this next ruby will not spawn!***
- Ruby in second vase on bottom left

Sealed Room:
- Get as much money as possible, EXCEPT for bottom right chest. Ruby insides will not spawn until room is lit.

Sitting Room:
- Speedy in left chair

Guest Room:
- Green Chest
- Water top right plant

***Fill up on water as you leave Sitting Room. Before Van Gore, gather the two emeralds on 3F Balcony, one in bottom right plant, and one in the third plant from the top left plant. Then proceed to clear Van Gore as normal.***

Hidden Mansion Mario Item Locations

Hidden mansion changes the location of the mario items for some reason

Hat: Dishwasher in the kitchen
Letter: Desk in the Twin's Room
Star: Observatory, same as normal
Glove: Defeat all ghosts in the Courtyard
Shoe: Defeat Slim Bankshot

So there is no real difference it makes route wise you just need to clear courtyard and check a couple different spots

How to do Break Off Stall

I'm aware this strat is not as fast as WR strats but it's a very good and consistent strat for people who are less skilled. When Luigi has best posture (when he's standing straight up) hold the B button while sucking up the ghost, when Luigi starts to bend over and get dragged, start  mashing the B button while still pumping the ghost until Luigi goes back to best posture and when he does that start holding the B button again. Start mashing it again each time you bend over. Repeat this process til you finishing off the ghost
