ask a friend to gift it to you then or something lol. speedruns are usually done on Source Unpack anyways which requires you to own the game on steam (AFAICT, I imagine it's probably crackable but I'm not gonna bother since it's easier to just own the game honestly) so you're kinda out of luck if you're looking to actually speedrun
nahh thats crack
no judgement but i don't think anyone here can really help in that regard lol. just buy Portal, it's like $1 right now for the autumn sale.
Hm, that's not the latest build label iirc. Did you install the game via steam? Is this copy legitimate?
What does the version command output in the console?
Sounds like you might have a bind set up to change the gravity when you press w? what does
bind w
respond with in your console?
I was trying to load from the mission select screen, does that not work either?
Hey folks, trying to play Dishonored with the 1.2 downpatch, but no matter what mission i try to load into (base game or dlc) i get an error about a missing patch that's required to play. Anyone else experienced this and/or have a fix?
Whoops, nevermind, I'm stupid and typed 7z e (the one that just dumps every file into one directory) instead of 7z x (the one that unzips everything and keeps filepaths). Now faced with a new issue in that my fonts look awful.
Console runs are accepted. As for Still Alive, it's run under it's own category afaik. https://www.speedrun.com/portalsa
So, trying out the Source Unpack now, loading Portal.bat as a non-steam game, and setting it to use the latest Proton-GE version gives me a "failed to load the launcher DLL: Module not found" error. Any ideas why this might be?
I suppose that makes sense. Also, you've managed to get Livesplit running in Linux? I thought it didn't work.
Sup folks, anyone here a linux user who's had success running 3420 on Linux? want to get back into trying to speedrun this game but I don't use Windows anymore, so i want to see if it's even possible to run 3420 on Linux.
