Do you need to have any computer characters or can this be done with one player?

I hope at some point Nintendo decides to increase the video capture time. I would love to be able to record runs on the go. But, unfortunately so far all we can do is dock it with a capture card.

Thanks! Yeah, that seems to be the best we have. I would love to form a community, because I've looked and I can't find anything about any kind of local community here in Houston. Plus, I don't even personally know any speedrunners here so I don't really know the best way to go about getting a group together.
