Swooping in here to suggest what all of the new stuff on this page should be, considering the release of the full version of Undertale: Yellow [God, 7 years, huh?]. Saying this as someone who has gotten all 3 main endings to the game.
[THERE WILL BE SPOILERS FOR UNDERTALE YELLOW BELOW THIS... I'M NOT SURE WHY YOU'D EVEN BE HERE TBH BUT LET'S PLAY IT SAFE AND PRACTICE OUR GUN SAFETY, YEAH?]
A lot of this will be modelled after the original Undertale's rules in terms of style, just so ya know. This will also be mostly CATEGORY RULES, not GAME RULES, as obviously, there isn't too much technical knowledge on how Undertale Yellow works right now, although some folks from the UT board will probably figure things out real quick.
PACIFIST
-
Complete the Pacifist Ending by sparing everyone you meet, ultimately defeating Ceroba and sparing her.
-
Timing starts on pressing "BEGIN GAME" on the instruction screen, and ends when closing Flowey's last line of dialogue after the final boss.
NEUTRAL
-
Complete the Neutral Ending by killing at least one monster, and then outlasting Flowey.
-
Timing starts on pressing "BEGIN GAME" on the instruction screen, and ends when closing Flowey's last line of dialogue after his fight.
GENOCIDE
-
Complete the Genocide Ending by killing enough monsters in all areas, ultimately ending in defeating Martlett on the UG Apartment rooftop.
-
Timing starts on pressing "BEGIN GAME" on the instruction screen, and ends when pressing Z to fire your soul's laser at Asgore.
[Note: There is technically a completely alternate ending to Pacifist that would probably qualify as an ALT neutral ending for selecting to fight Ceroba after her fight, but it's probably too menial to count as a category]
[Note #2: There's an upcoming difficulty patch to Yellow that will likely end up heavily affecting how easy certain fights will be [Genocide Martlet, Pacifist Ceroba, etc]]
I would argue there is one last category you guys should probably consider before Floor 2, being a category for runs made after the Doors team make their "content update" to Floor 1, considering their refinements elude to involving changes to areas of the game deemed "lackluster" and obviously the new content which could involve new rooms, entities, items and factors to the speed run that could adversely effect the way the game is ran and the standard of final times (Think the differences between Minecraft versions). The specifics are in the Sneak Peaks channel of the official Doors discord server if you're interested, though I'm sure you're already aware.
Forum Thread for the Doors Entity Guide. Feel free to tell me things I didn't know or if I got something wrong lol.
Wanted to write a basic guide of the enemies of Doors, as well as tricks to speed up how you deal with them, but I can't add a guide, there anything that can be done about this? I don't use speedrun.com often, my apologies.
