Perhaps a clearly communicated sticky would be a better idea if mod requests are becoming a problem? Can't see how allowing the forums to turn into unusable memeing outlet is healthy for the game.
so, earlier today i became a super mod. so, ive put some plans ive had into action and done 2 things. I'll go over the more boring one first what ive done is fix the impossiwall category, at least to the best of my ability. i always thought it stuck out like a saw thumb with its glitchless and glitches and its faster than the wall and normal sub categories. but because its another wall like the winner winner wall, i cant just shove it under badge%. So, I've combined the normal and faster than the wall categories to just NG+ glitchless and NG+ glitches. and then also to keep continuity i wanted to add a NG category, but because NG impossiwall is impossible without glitches, i decided to make the 3 sub categories how it is instead of 4. now, onto the other change... because badge% is fun, and i wanted to have more categories about them that arent the disgusting all badge categories, ive decided to make 5 badge%! its a nice small little gauntlet in which you have to collect any 5 badges. not only that, but i also wanted to create a 2 player category for the game, because back when i did some 2 player runs of this game i remember finding it fun as hell. of course, the old 2 player categories were real dumb which is why we discontinued them. In 2 player 5 badge% you have to collectively obtain 5 badges. that could mean one of you gets 2 and the other gets 3, or one of you just gets 1 of them while the other get 4! ive already been brainstorming the most optimum routes in all 8 different runs (yes, theres 8 whole seperate runs from the 3 sub categories on the category) and i hope to see some other people posting their runs of it in the future :D
ive estimated that this run will be around 7-8 hours, so i decided to stream it all on twitch. I set the date tomorrow, and itll start 3pm UTC. my twitch is on my profile, so come stop and say hi!
co op speedruns have been discontinued and wont be accepted but if you want a private server to speedrun then check the resources page
the winner section of the player list is the "people who have survived!" part of the player list. you have to walk onto the logo in the winners area, instead of just going into the winners area (like this: ). personally, I think it's a very annoying rule that catches a lot of new runners out and leads to unnecessary rejects, but its there to help with timing and to make the game fair
