Well we are on a forum

So I kinda feel stupid but I can't get the LiveSplit autosplitter to work. It doesn't automatically start or stop either. I'm trying to speedrun Portal 2 on pc (not on an emulator) and I've been trying for a few days now to get LiveSplit to work. I activated the autosplit and used pre-made splits but it doesn't work. There's no error message or anything and in the autosplitter setting the only options are to use another autosplitter and to change if it can start/split. I feel like I've missed a big part of the setup process, do I have to play the game on an emulator or something?
