I understand not allowing Emulator and Console on the same leaderboard (load times, inaccurate emulation, I get it) but why not just separate Emulated and Console runs while allowing both? Is Dolphin really so inconsistent that there would be significant discrepancy even between 2 emulated runs done on the same version?
With the cost of original hardware only becoming more and more prohibitively expensive every year, wouldn't allowing emulators foster growth in the community by lowering the significant upfront cost of even attempting a submittable run?
With a homebrewed 3DS, you can inject GBA games onto your 3DS homescreen as Virtual Console titles. I don't think it's technically emulation, but it's also obviously not a physical game cart plugged into a GBA/NDSL, so I figure I should double-check before possibly breaking the rules by using an unacceptable method of running the game.
Are they allowed, and what would I submit it as if it is?
So I just lost my first real attempt at 'Prequels' over an hour in because P1 decided to switch from Controller to M&K for seemingly NO reason. I didn't hit a key on my keyboard(I'd been using my keyboard the whole run for my Livesplit hotkeys, but at the instance it dropped the controller I hadn't hit anything) and it refused to accept controller inputs until I reset the game, which obviously killed the run. The controller was still connected and never disconnected from my PC so I have no idea why it randomly switched to M&K. Any help would be awesome
