First time posting here/relatively new to speedrunning so forgive any ignorance, but this question stems from videos/threads I've seen saying 244 is impossible on 8-3 unless you use l+r. I am able to get 244 on 8-3 without doing anything against the rules- just run straight through (I'm using EmuHawk). I can get it both from using my save state at the start of 8-3 and in a continuous run where I previously beat 8-2. Is there something wrong with my emulator? I'm genuinely curious as to why this is possible/makes me think I should use a different emu if I want to submit runs. Thanks for any replies!
