I agree that PS2's main category should allow one to turn the 4-8 Bug off. Also, GokuGoku's runs use Normal difficulty and the 120 second timer setting, which are faithful to the original arcade mode. I feel these two qualifications should also be added to the category as rules.

As a future-proofing note, the game also has an "Extra Mode", unlocked after beating the game on the standard settings (120 timer, normal difficulty). It alters the physics of the characters and enemies, and adds a new, unique final boss. If anyone ever does a run in this mode, it should be treated as its own category like how we currently treat Genesis Easy/Normal/Hard.

Did some minor reverse-searching; found it here on their twitch for anyone still interested in watching: Don't know how that'll fix the website's flash issue given... adobe flash... but still- speedrunning history is still speedrunning history.

Fun fact: This run has just taught me that the final boss' homing missiles can be outran with a long curve and a spearhead character if you're running around in the front half of the stage, as opposed to the more common strategy of getting in close and doing a full circle around the missile(s) once or twice over.

So about a year or two back I found a glitch in the 1990 prototype of Gain Ground for the Sega Genesis which allowed one to auto-skip levels. I'm re-visiting the glitch and trying to brainstorm how to pull this off in the full game. Any ideas?
