So I was looking on the GameFaqs site and saw that there are some items on these maps that aren't in the guide and could potentially add up for more points? I don't know how it's possible to get 5000 points, as according to these maps the maximum amount of points is 3000 something. Is Best Ending impossible?

I know AsneL was working on it recently and he was also having issues reaching 5000pts, despite following the guides. I don't know if he ever figured it out... He DM'd me a few weeks ago asking me some questions, most of which I didn't have the answer for.

That's really interesting. I wonder which camera kills Nikos. I can't tell from that tweet. I'll have to do some savestate experiments on emulator.

When all the events and items that can be acquired are completed, we have confirmed that 5000 pts are possible. However, it is not yet known that all workers will survive.
