You now have all characters for both save game (NG+) and completely fresh files (NG) are added. Sorry it took so long I honestly forgot about this game whereas the other games I didn't. I'll update the XL game too while I'm at it.
And, I also need mods - preferably people who can prove they run this or at least are super active with it

Oh! one Thing Some Character Need to Unlock when u NG run them and Money still Left in the shop for that Unlock Character So Maybe we Should can Allow To Use Money Left For Unlock Characters Only During the run in NG Run Rule

The thing about brand new runs is it needs a completely clean slate. So basically no prior help for the file. BUT you're saying it takes money to unlock those. I can make those characters a specific category if you give me all the details. Do you have discord? Or twitter??
I only started playing Samurai Warriors 2 today, so I'm not applying to be a mod just yet. But I did get this idea looking at the leaderboards: would it be better if NG / NG+ was a sub-category? That way there wouldn't have to be so many categories on the page overall.
They are. Click the misc tab, I know it's kinda weird to have so many characters on the front page, but to be honest it seems ok to me. This would have been IL board but I'm going to add every single level (for free mode, or story if you prefer) for IL's. For example, I used to run this and it was so much fun to get optimized. Do you agree? Or should something else happen?
It had Sodoku mode Broadgame and Ladder mode that use to unlock Okuni Ranmaru (FG or LR?) Dream Stage/Gaiden (Level Run). Should Cancel All Unlock Character List NG Due to Save File Gold Shop help (Not Zero Gold Start) Unless U Allow to use PS2 Cheat Code to Unlock All Characters to Be NG Start from Zero Gold but if not allow Cheat Code so All Unlock Characters Should run only NG All Characters Run due to Gold can be Share to Everyone In Single Segment
I mean creating a variable NG / NG+ that is then used as a sub-category. This way both type of runs will appear in a tab under each character (i.e. main category) and the miscellaneous categories are not needed. Here's an example I just made on the Knights Contract leaderboards:
it still ok to be miscellaneous categories because Some Unlock Characters need Cheat Code Unlock Character for NG run People Prefer to NG+ than NG for this kind of game Because every characters can run NG+

Ah, I see how that could change things. And I guess running NG+ tends to be the norm in most Omega Force-games, or at least that's the impression I've gotten.
I am willing to do all that tedious menu-ing if you want. Same for XL. Do console versions have any stark differences, save for the disc-swapping?
save data for disc swapping can be allow for sure in NG+ it still part of SW2 Original one so XL would Allow it XD
I honestly couldn't see anyone doing NG not-plus on SW2 Vanilla since you have to beat other characters to unlock them. I can also see people using two controllers to abuse shop system in lvl 1 runs.
You COULD make it a rule to NOT visit shops and use only reset characters (seen on video) for NG runs.
EDIT: Assuming this game had the reset character function back then.
I think we could improve this by organizing vanilla as:
- Musou Mode ___Characters (NG+) ___Characters (Level One / Reset Stats)
- Sugoroku
- Survival Mode
- Individual Stages and Forces ~I don't think character subcategories would matter in these categories, nor in the Xtreme Legends extra mode, which if I remember is:
- Conquest
Again, I am willing to do the mod tedious work for it.
U can Check Gold after Stage One Result too and Compare to Gold in Shop after stage one (Good Checking) About Unlock Characters Must use Cheat Code Only that still allow but Gold must be zero (Mod Can Check anyway) After Stage One show Gold Result just Pause the video and check Compare to Shop Gold must be the same (Cant Abuse Anyway)
