This game was my childhood. I continue to play through it every few months and I would love to speedrun it. Are there any guides or tips/tricks that will help?

There are very few tricks to the run from what I remember (It has admittedly been a long, long time). I would just watch World Record and do what they do. The one thing I will say is getting the rocket boost (whatever its called. the color bur that trails you) makes you go a bunch faster. Other than that, I can't be much help sadly. I haven't don a run since, well, whenever my run was done lol.
