In the intro of the game, after you lift the dresser out of the way, and continue onto the snowy path that leads to the village, once you reach a certain point you can press Esc ->Restart and you will be placed farther ahead then when you reset the game. This will save a few seconds, but time is of the essence during speedruns and every little trick counts. This is done in several more parts of the run, including the Dimetrescu flame torch puzzle to skip the loading of the door opening.
