I'm looking into running PMW2. I have a few questions before I start, so that I can start practicing.

1. What is the best system to run it on? All I have on me is a Wii if that's legitimate.

2. How should I learn this game? Just go through all the levels, watch the WR and build a path for myself?

1. The fastest version of the game is the gamecube version, so a wii will work fine.

2. Watch TheRuseman's Wr Individual level RTA (not Time Trial) runs and try to follow what he does, soon you will get it as most of it is muscle memory.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to just study his routes in the levels/watch the runs and try and get a feel for practicing it.

Hopefully I can nab a capture card, set up some splits/whatever, and I'll get going.

Also, more specifically, the Gamecube version 1.1 is the fastest. the 1.1 version is the one that says players choice on the cover. the game included in the bundle with pacman vs. is also 1.1

What do you mean by it's the "fastest." Does the game actually run slightly slower on other copies/platforms? Does this thus provide a disadvantage? How noticable is it if it were speedran on, say, PS2.

Yes, on USA PS2 The game loads about a minute slower over the course of an Any% run compared to a GC copy. And GC 1.1 is faster due to Volcanic Panic Skip, so GC 1.1 would be the fastest version of the game to run on.
