I was wondering for the Japanese speedruns, why do you end the timer when the screen says "THE END", instead of ending when the screen fades to black after the Hall of Fame sequence.

This is because every measurement section, including the other series, has a rule that includes an ending.

What I am curious about is why there is a different place where you stop the timer in the English version compared to the Japanese version.
