Hey. me again. im workin on getting better at ship levels and am just struggling with 4-5, stage 3's minikit. So I was wondering, are the cheat codes in this game considered the unlockable red power brick upgrades (invincibility included) or are they the input based ones (ie stuff that gives you additional studs via inputting a series of button presses)

Any cheat code that can be inputted by the title screen as a feature of the game is one, including debug mode.
