How do the mods tell you that your run is verified? Will it be through email or a different method?

I believe the default setting is to receive a notification through the site, but you can receive emails for that if you want. You can go to "Settings" and "Notifications" to select what you wish to be notified about via email. (Note that things might be slow/unresponsive right now after the update.)
