you could use the checkpoint mod which has presets for the level spawns so everyone starts at the same place and speed

someone brought this up before and im a little hesitant to require the practice mod for IL runs (especially considering its unverified third party software that not everyone might feel comfortable downloading -- although i do think it was created in good faith)

if the general community shows mostly support behind it we can make it happen but im not sure people are gonna bite (and especially not during the 10 day competition still running)
